The moment we entered the hotel we were made to feel completely at home the hotel has a lovely location spa facilities are great! the staff are superb and the food and decor of the main rooms are wonderful .Value for money is also worth a mention, and the surrounding countryside and the places to visit are second to none . We shall definitely return again for another stay we were very sorry to leave and wished we had stayed longer.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious and clean. The tea delicious and the sandwiches we were given as we missed breakfast both thoughtful and unexpected. We would certainly return again and stay for longer.

Location - It's a good place to stay in Redruth. Food - Breakfast (eggs & salmon) was very good. Staff - friendly and courteous.

The decor is a bit dated and the rooms could use a bit of modernisation.

The standard of cuisine at dinner was excellent and the restuarant staff were helpful and efficient

Very noisy. The website uses words like "relaxed, charming and secluded". Actually the noise from the adjoining disco and from drunken revellers at 01:15 in the morning made it anything but the above.

The location was quiet, the appearance of the hotel was stunning and the lesuire facilities were great! The accommodation for my allergy was very good!!

The staff and food seemed a little above their station for a 3 star hotel.

Rooms were elegant and spacious. The Georgian style hotel decor was nice. Ample car parking space in the front. Staff was very nice and kind. The small garden in front is nice for kids to play.

The swimming pool timings on Sat-Sun are awkward. It starts only after breakfast time finishes, i.e. 10AM. Also, on Sat-Sun, swimming pool closes at 17:30, whereas it would be preferable if it was open longer so that people can have a relaxing dip after a tiring excursion.

A little more light in the room.

Location. Design and history of hotel. Amazing breakfast, very friendly and welcoming. Loved the reception area, the whole downstairs was very beautiful. We do hope to stay again. I would recommend the suites, as they are very nice. I don't understand the three star rating, as I think that the hotel is underrated, it is lovely.

On arrival at the hotel one member of reception staff was not very helpful, when the key was handed over to us we were left standing there with no further instructions, after a 6 hour drive this was a bit annoying, luckily a very nice gentlemen assisted us. The pictures in the hotel guide book relating to the garden party's were very interesting, shame that most of the gardens appear to have disappeared due to parking. Or maybe we just missed them!!

The heating did not work - room were cold and uncomfortable. Room had no view and this was not a value for money stay!

First class comfort, excellent service and wonderful food - I like to know where my food comes from and the hotel makes a virtue of sourcing top-quality local produce. As the hotel was very quiet I got a free room upgrade which was unexpected and much appreciated. I stay here whenever in the area on business and always enjoy it: the Penventon is one of my all-time favourites. How many hotels these days have a live pianist every night? The pool and gym facilities are very good. The decor is largely original and has a unique and timeless quality: I hope it's never given a 'makeover' but as it's run by a local family who clearly know their business I think this would be unlikely.

    No dislikes.

Friendly staff, excellent restaurant with great value Table d'Hote menu. Quiet even though on one evening the hotel hosted a school leavers prom, but the organisation was excellent and the behaviour of the students so far as we are aware was exemplary.

Our only element for comment is that we had a garden room which was extremely large and well appointed but the only ventilation is via patio doors which of course cannot be left open overnight and as they are not fitted with ventilation strips leads to a stuffy atmosphere for sleeping
